Aurora man hurt in hit-and-run crash

A 57-year-old Aurora man was injured Thursday night in a hit and run crash, police said.

The man was crossing Broadway Street about 6:20 p.m. from the area of the Aurora Transportation Center, just north of Pierce Street, when he was struck by a southbound car, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The car, which is described as possibly being blue, continued south on Broadway, police said.

The victim was taken to an Aurora hospital, then later driven by ambulance to another hospital to receive treatment for apparent head injuries.
