Man dies after hit-and-run in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS — Police say a man has died after being apparently struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on a city street just north of downtown Indianapolis.
City police say the man was reported hit about 3:15 a.m. Monday. Officers found the man unresponsive at Meridian and 22nd streets and medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police spokesman Officer Christopher Wilburn says witnesses told officers a silver or black car left the scene, but that investigators found little crash evidence at the scene.
The man who died wasn’t immediately identified.
