Ÿ Someone ran over a 6-foot-tall tree on the 39W500 block of 39W500 block of Bolcum Road near St. Charles, causing an estimated $150 damage, according to a sheriff’s report. The damage was reported at 1:23 p.m. Oct. 12.

Ÿ Someone broke open the rear door at a home on the 9N900 block of Apache Run near Elgin between 8 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. Wednesday and stole $70,000, according to a sheriff’s report. The victim said the money was just received for a down payment on a home.

Ÿ Michael D. Szewczyk, 41, of the 800 block of Warner Street, Hampshire, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and failure to signal after a traffic stop at 7:50 p.m. Saturday at French Road and Route 72 near Hampshire, according to a sheriff’s report.
