Fox Lake fire open house
The Fox Lake Fire Protection District hosts its annual open house event on Saturday, Oct. 12, to kick off the start of fire prevention week. The event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the headquarters station, 306 Washington St., Ingleside. The open house will feature guided tours of the station and fire and rescue equipment, a first-aid station with blood pressure checks, hourly fire sprinkler demonstrations, dive rescue demonstrations, auto extrication demonstration and much more. One child will even win a free raffle drawing for a ride to school on a fire truck. Members of the fire district will be on hand to offer fire safety advice and to answer fire safety questions.
