School bus crashes into animal shelter

Volunteers for a Niles animal shelter say they have no place to put dozens of animals after a school bus crashed into their building.

The accident happened Wednesday afternoon in Niles. Police say no children were on board and no one was injured.

Wright-Way Rescue volunteer Jane Bouchard says all of the shelter's animals are safely in the parking lot except for one missing cat. But she says authorities won't let them back in the building because it is so heavily damaged.

Bouchard says the shelter adopts out about 300 dogs and cats a month.
