Which president oversaw tragedy, cover-up?

After reading the letters to the editor of Sept. 5, I felt I must comment on the letter written by Wayne Oras. First, who was president in his first term with the meltdown of the housing industry or the banking collapse not during the first term but during the second term? Secondly, who was president during the “Fast and Furious” incident, the NSA cover-up and the Benghazi tragedy, in which, sadly, four Americans lost their lives?

As a longtime subscriber to the Herald (it was once a weekly paper, published on Thursdays), I am very disappointed such misinformation was found in the letters section. To me accuracy is very important. Thank you for reading my note.
