Why don’t Saudis, others step up?

Why don’t Saudis, others step up?

I do not support the proposed resolution to strategically strike Syrian. In order to send a message to Assad that we will not tolerate the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), the Obama administration wants the Congress to pass this into law.

Why are we the caretakers and the enforcers for an evil part of the world? A surgical strike to quell Assad will not accomplish anything; the adverse effect may prompt retaliation in ways that could lead us to a ground War.

Where is Saudi Arabia and the other Arab League? They proposed to support this financially. Why are they not stepping up with military action and stopping these atrocities in their own neighborhood? News analysts have reported that Saudi Arabia will not take lethal action because of cultural and religious reasons. Really, they have been fighting each other for Centuries and now they want someone else to do their dirty work?

Why the United States? We have fought for the last 12 years in the Middle East and lost over 6,000 service personnel and thousands injured mentally and physically. It is time to take care of our own and not to be the enforcer? Sorry, I do not buy it and I do not support this.

Why now? Did we do anything when Saddam Hussein mustard gassed the Kurds or when Milosevic ethnic cleansed Bosnia? Why now? I firmly believe the American people do not support this course that the Obama administration is taking.
