Input on raising bees, chickens:

Residents can provide input at public hearings regarding new regulations being considered that would allow beekeeping and hens in residential areas of unincorporated Lake County. The regional planning commission will host a public meeting for initial review at 4 p.m. Sept. 24, and the zoning board of appeals will hold a public hearing at 1 p.m. Oct. 7. Both will be at the county’s Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville.
