Carpentersville

Ÿ Andrew J. Ross, 17, of the 0 to 99 block of Oakcrest Drive in Carpentersville, was charged as an adult after police said he robbed a gas station convenience store Sunday night that’s less than a mile away from his home. Ross was charged with aggravated robbery, robbery and resisting or obstruction of a police officer, according to a police report. Police say he entered the store at Lake Marian Road and Skyline Drive, implied he had a weapon and told the clerk she had 20 seconds to give him all of the money, Cmdr. Timothy Bosshart said. The clerk called 911 and police later found Ross walking near the store with $474 in cash. Bosshart said. His bail was set at $75,000 and he is due in court Wednesday at the Kane County Judicial Center.
