Bond set for four arrested in fight with Lake County sheriff officers

Two of the four people charged with fighting a pair of Lake County sheriff’s deputies and a detective have been released from custody after paying their bail, Lake County jail authorities said Friday.

Anthony Camarda, 20, and Sophia Camarda, 18, both of the 4400 block of Longmeadow Drive in Gurnee, each posted the required 10 percent of their $100,000 bail, officials said.

Michael Musson, 19, and Arona Musson, 55, both of the 17300 block of West Dartmoor Drive near Grayslake, remain held in lieu of the $100,000 bail, officials said.

All four suspects were charged with counts of felony aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest.

The fight began about 1:45 p.m. Thursday in the 17300 block of West Dartmoor Drive. Authorities said a detective was following up on a complaint of possible drug trafficking when he saw two people in possession of marijuana nearby.

As the detective was attempting to take one of the people into custody, that suspect began to resist and the other three jumped in.

The detective called for backup, and after a fight, the two deputies and the detective were able to take control.

The detective and the deputies were treated and released from Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
