Naperville spraying parks where West Nile found

Naperville city crews will spray Seager Park at 1163 Plank Road and Springhill Park at 703 Springhill Circle for mosquitoes Thursday and Friday after recent tests of traps returned one instance of West Nile virus at each location.

Two instances of the virus are needed in one location for a West Nile test to be positive, but the Naperville Park District encourages park users to protect themselves by applying insect repellant on exposed skin, spraying repellant with permethrin on clothing, placing mosquito netting over baby carriers and wearing long sleeves and pants when weather permits.
