Shoppers get one more shot at Glen Ellyn Sidewalk Sale

Green is the favorite color of Ireland.

But as any Leprechaun will tell you, it’s impossible to get all that lush countryside without just a wee bit of rain.

While members of the McNulty Irish Dancers probably understand all that, it didn’t make it any easier Friday when the wet stuff forced them to perform inside an empty store instead of outside during the second day of the three-day Glen Ellyn Sidewalk Sale along Main Street in downtown.

The weather didn’t exactly endear itself to merchants, either, who were hoping to make a little extra green themselves before the rain came.

The good news for merchants is that shoppers will get one more crack at the sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

And the McNulty Dancers will get another shot at performing outside when they appear at 4 p.m. Saturday in the beer tent at the DuPage County Fair, 2015 Manchester Road, Wheaton.
