Salt Creek Park District to hold annual Turtle Trek Race
The Salt Creek Rural Park District will host the ninth annual Turtle Trek Race at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Twin Lakes Recreation Area, 1200 E. Lake Drive, Palatine.
Plastic turtles, which are available for purchase, will race from the island to the shore on Donut Lake. There are 40 prizes including a $500 grand prize.
