West Nile mosquitoes found in two Naperville parks

Tests of mosquito traps at Seager Park, 1163 Plank Road, and Springhill Park, 703 Springhill Circle, found one instance of West Nile virus at each location, Naperville Park District officials said Wednesday.

A test is considered positive for West Nile when two instances are found at one location, but park officials are reminding people to wear insect repellent, cover infant carriers with mosquito netting and consider staying inside at dawn and dusk to try to prevent bites.

City crews will spray the affected areas of Seager and Springhill parks, and traps will be retested next week.
