Let FDA solve gun violence problem

We all know that the Federal Drug Administration watches out for our health. They ensure that products on the market are safe. They work hard to be sure that products sold in this country will not harm us.

They went so far as to temporarily ban meat from Canada because of fear of the mad cow disease. They were responsible for removing, fresh foods or prescriptions from store shelves if they believed they might be even slightly unhealthy.

Since the FDA does such a good job of protecting our health, why not give them the job of solving a truly serious health problem in our country. Every day people are dying or badly hurt from gunshots.

I would be willing to bet that if you turned them loose on the problem they could figure out what creates the gunshot wounds and come up with a simple cure: Remove the cause, guns.
