Utility bill class in Hanover Pk.

The Citizens Utility Board will be in Hanover Park to explain the latest utility issues and scams impacting consumers, and analyze electric, natural gas and phone bills at a free clinic. The session will cover Hanover Park’s municipal aggregation program and how much consumers are saving with FirstEnergy Solutions; how to avoid electricity scams; www.CUBenergysaver.com, a free online service that has helped consumers cut energy bills by an average of more than $100 a year; and spotting unnecessary charges on electric, natural gas and phone bills. Bring your bills for a free, one-on-one consultation with a CUB expert who will search for ways to lower costs. The clinic is 2 p.m. July 29 at the Hanover Township Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park. Clinic is free, but register; Lissete Bonilla at (630) 540-9085 ext. 237.
