Marmion Academy to hold free health care, wellness symposium

A free health care and wellness symposium, presented by state Senators Jim Oberweis and Linda Holmes and state Representatives Linda Chapa La Via, Mike Fortner and Kay Hatcher, will be held Saturday, July 20, at Marmion Academy, 1000 Butterfield Road, Aurora.
The symposium will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a free continental breakfast. Three of the area’s largest hospitals — Rush-Copley, Cadence Health and Presence Mercy Medical Center — are sponsoring the event and will be offering free screenings such as blood pressure, skin cancer, foot scans and more. More than 20 local health care vendors will also be available throughout the day. The day will conclude with a presentation from Dr. Thomas Cornwell of Home Care Physicians and a panel of health care professionals.
