Still work to be done on voting rights

A recent United States Supreme Court ruling gutted a vital provision of the Voting Rights Act because “its goals have been met.” This makes as much sense as removing speed limits because highway deaths have decreased or ending vaccinations for polio since there were less than 200 cases worldwide in 2012.
