Hats off to the whistle-blowers

Hats off to the whistle-blowers

Remember when Obama said, “The buck stops here with me”? That was before the Benghazi terrorist attacks with four dead and many wounded as testified to by whistle-blowers Gregory Hicks, Mark Thompson and Eric Nordstrom; the IRS profiling of conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status; the Department of Justice seeking phone records of The Associated Press to identify their sources; and Eric Holder and the Fast and Furious scandal to name only a few.

Now, Obama is quoted in all instances as saying, “We will get to the bottom of this.” However, Obama is rarely seen where there is controversy. He simply sends his minions to deal with the issues. Perhaps if he and those he put into power had been on top of their jobs, they would not have to get to the bottom of anything.

The nation owes a great deal to all those who have come forward to expose the abuse of power and lies of this administration. I sincerely hope the bright light of intense scrutiny is aimed at what happens to the reputations, careers and pensions of these brave people of integrity and that there are severe consequences for any person or agency who seeks retribution.
