Burglary suspect arrested in Villa Park

Based on surveillance video, a 21-year-old homeless man has been charged in connection with two burglaries that occurred this week in Villa Park.

Amr Ahmad Daoud is charged with two counts of felony burglary.

On Wednesday, Villa Park police responded to two burglaries that occurred overnight.

The first burglary occurred at the Anona Center located at 125 S. Villa Ave. Cash and challenge coins were reported missing.

The second burglary occurred at 8 to 8 Cigars located at 300 E St. Charles Road. Cash and an IBM computer were reported missing.

About 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Daoud was located by officers in the area of St. Charles Road and Wisconsin Avenue in Villa Park. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was still wearing the same clothing as shown on the surveillance video, police said.

Daoud was taken to the DuPage County jail.
