Geneva firefighters fought a fire in an attached garage at a residence in the 1000 block of Division Street.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. Thursday. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene shortly after and had the fire under control in about 10 minutes.

The occupants were at home but were able to leave the residence unharmed.

The fire is still under investigation but does not appear suspicious.

No firefighters were hurt.

Geneva firefighters were assisted by the St. Charles, Batavia and Elburn fire departments and the Geneva Police Department.
