Batavia

• Stanley G. Wallace, 61, of the 200 block of Parkview Drive, Oregon, Ill., was arrested and charged with retail theft at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Menard's, 30 N. Randall Road, according to a police report. He is accused of switching the price tag on an $89 hammer, the report said.

• Tanya M. Gregoire, 24, of the 700 block of Lancaster Lane, Geneva, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 10:31 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot at Steak N Shake, 1901 McKee St., according to a police report.

• Erick Brown, 19, of the 500 block of W. Barberry Circle, Yorkville, was arrested and charged with attempted obstruction of justice and obstructing identification at 1:36 a.m. Thursday at the Full Moon Bar, 113 S. Batavia Ave., according to a police report.

Geneva

• A Blackberry Laguna cellphone and a Samsung Galaxy S3, a combined value of $1,298, were reported stolen at 2:04 p.m. May 6 from HH Gregg, 710 Commons Drive, according to a police report. The items were last seen on April 24.

• Joseph L. Vernagallo, 34, of the 40W200 block of Hampton Court, Geneva, was arrested and charged with speeding, driving under the influence and no valid license after a traffic stop at 12:49 a.m. Saturday on the 300 block of West State Street, according to a police report.

• Four windows on the north side of Heartland Elementary School, 3300 Heartland Drive, were broken between 11 p.m. May 7 and 8:24 a.m. May 8, according to a police report.

• Ashley N. Kuntz, 27, of the 1300 block of Davey Drive, Batavia, was arrested and charged with DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of more than .08, and speeding after a traffic stop at 1:42 a.m. Sunday on the 1100 block of West State Street, according to a police report.
