More drilling needed to cut costs

This is in response to Ms. Melissa Brice’s letter of April 26. She indicated that she proudly spent her money to go to Washington to protest the Keystone XL pipeline. She is so happy to work very hard to instill her beliefs on the rest of us.

Many qualified scientists dismiss this global warming hysteria. Does Ms. Brice, living a comfortable life in the suburbs, ever think about the poor, blue collar employee paying $75 to $100 per week on gas because President Obama and zealots like her continually stop more drilling? This high price of fuel raises the cost of everything because of the price of gas. We need this pipeline (no environmental effect) and more drilling on government land.

Ms. Brice may mean well, but she and those like her are costing millions of us to have a lower standard of living. Go to Beijing and protest.
