How the Bulls fared against Miami this season

Here’s a look back at the four games the Bulls played against the Miami Heat this season:

Jan. 4 at Miami: Bulls 96, Heat 89

Miami lost just four home games all season, and this was one of them. The Bulls controlled the offensive boards (19-4), with Carlos Boozer scoring 27 points. LeBron James scored 30 in one of those rare games when the only player the Bulls were missing was Derrick Rose.

Feb. 21 at United Center: Heat 86, Bulls 67

This was an 11-point spread heading into the fourth quarter but felt like a thorough beatdown as the Bulls shot just 37.3 percent from the field at home. James scored 26 points, and Kirk Hinrich did not play.

March 27 at United Center: Bulls 101, Heat 97

An espn.com columnist called it the greatest NBA regular-season game ever played. Without Joakim Noah, Rip Hamilton or Marco Belinelli, the Bulls snapped Miami’s 27-game winning streak behind a 28-point performance by Luol Deng. Boozer had 21 points and 17 rebounds. Plenty of great drama down the stretch in the fourth quarter.

April 14 at Miami: Heat 105, Bulls 93

There wasn’t much to play for at the end of the regular season, but coach Tom Thibodeau still was annoyed by this loss. James and Dwyane Wade combined for 46 points, while Deng led the Bulls with 19.
