Wolves playoff tickets on sale Wednesday

Individual playoff tickets for the first round of the 2013 Calder Cup Playoffs with the Chicago Wolves will go on sale to the public at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The American Hockey League’s postseason schedule will be released after the Wolves wrap up the regular season on April 21 with a 4 p.m. game against Grand Rapids at Allstate Arena.

To purchase a playoff package, which offers fans the same seat for all 15 possible games, or a playoff flex pack, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES. Individual tickets for playoff games at Allstate Arena also can be purchased by visiting ChicagoWolves.com or Ticketmaster.com, calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, or going to the Allstate Arena box office

or any other Ticketmaster outlet.

With seven regular-season games remaining, the Wolves (34-26-5-4) sit in 10th place in the Western Conference playoff race with 77 points. However, just seven points separate the fourth- through 10th-place teams.

Eight teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs. The three division winners are seeded first to third according to their points total and the next five teams are seeded fourth to eighth in the same fashion.

The Wolves are in the midst of a season-high six-game road trip that continues at 6 p.m. Wednesday with a trip to Midwest Division-leading Grand Rapids. The team’s next home game is 7 p.m. Saturday against Charlotte.
