Luna Carpet founder to relaunch Galaxie Homes

Luna Carpet and Blinds Founder Steve DeZara said he will relaunch Galaxie Home Remodeling, a Chicago institution for over 25 years specializing in interior and exterior renovations.

“We're thrilled to announce the relaunch of the Galaxie brand that Chicagoans have known for over two decades,” DeZara said. “We're bringing back the famous 'Call Galaxie' jingle, while vastly upgrading the consumer experience through the “Galaxie Way,” a fresh, innovative and professional approach we are bringing to the market centered around providing unmatched customer service and exceptional workmanship.

“We just want to make our customers happy,” he added.

Founded in 1984, Galaxie will now be known as Galaxie Home. DeZara and a team of experienced executives will continue Galaxie's customer service tradition while reinvigorating and revitalizing the former iconic Chicago brand with the equally iconic jingle familiar to so many Chicagoans.

Galaxie's staff includes architects, interior designers, project managers and tradesmen skilled in design and managing construction projects. A licensed and bonded company, Galaxie will focus on providing kitchen and bath remodels, as well as exterior renovations such as replacement windows and doors, siding, gutters, soffit and fascia repair.

Galaxie intends to invest significant resources into the team, the technologies and the processes that will deliver a uniquely positive experience to prospective home improvement customers, the company said in a release.

“The Galaxie Way is about delivering what we promise, when promised, and all the while having homeowners feel informed, involved and empowered in their home improvement project,” said DeZara.

Galaxie Home is at 4761 W. Touhy Ave. and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for general inquiries. For more information, call (847) 677-8300.
