Investigator honored as Arlington Hts. officer of the year

Investigator Todd Radek was awarded the plaque Thursday naming him the 2012 L.W. Calderwood Officer of the Year for the Arlington Heights Police Department.

Radek, a 19-year veteran of the department presently assigned to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, was presented the annual award, given to the police officer demonstrating the most significant contributions that year toward the overall betterment of the community.

Radek was honored Thursday at a luncheon at European Crystal Banquets, on Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights.
