Navy celebrates Women’s History Month

Great Lakes Naval Station’s museum will celebrate Women’s History Month on Monday, March 25. In honor of Women’s History Month, the base museum will host a talk by Cmdr. Olivia L. Bethea, Training Support Center executive officer. It’ll start at 10 a.m. Bethea entered the Navy through the Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program. She received a degree in biology at Morris College in Sumter, S.C. Her academic credits include attending the Naval War College in Newport, R.I. In September 2012, Bethea reported to Training Support Center at Great Lakes as executive officer. Her talk is free and open to the public. The museum is at the base’s main gate off Sheridan Road.
