Round Lake Park man arrested after drugs found
A Round Lake Park man is facing multiple drug charges following a search of his home, police announced Saturday.
Juan B. Lopez-Jasso, 26, of the 300 block of Forest Glen Drive, was arrested Friday night and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis, two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of ammunition, police said.
Police recovered 90 grams of marijuana and 10 grams of cocaine, according to a news release. The drugs were valued at several thousand dollars, police said.
Lopez-Jasso also was wanted on a Lake County warrant for failure to appear in court, stemming from a fleeing and eluding police charge, authorities said.
The warrant is part of an operation targeting street-level drug sales tied to gangs, police said.
Bond was set at $50,000.
