New Ela Township trustee hopeful:

Tony Lombardo of Lake Zurich has been added to the Ela Tax Reform Party slate as one of four Ela Township trustee candidates. The appointment was made Jan. 28 after trustee candidate Nick Buris withdrew for personal reasons. Lombardo, who has lived in Lake Zurich for 23 years, is an attorney in private practice in Mt. Prospect with a focus on criminal law, real estate and divorce. He has also been a licensed sports official for many years, officiating at the high school level and at college Division 1 football games, including college bowl games. The Ela Tax Reform Party slate consists of eight candidates running for Ela Township offices: Barbara Evans for supervisor, Randy Abbott for highway commissioner, Paul Jankowski for clerk, Wayne Wnek for assessor and Mike Jennings, Nancy Shepherdson, Vaseem Iftekhar and Tony Lombardo for trustee. The slate’s website is www.elareform.org.
