NAPERVILLE -- OfficeMax President and CEO Ravi Saligram has been appointed to the board of directors of the National Retail Federation.
Saligram will also join the NRF's executive committee and serve a three-year term. The NRF is the world's largest retail trade association and represents retailers of all types and sizes from the United States and more than 45 countries abroad including department stores, specialty, apparel, discount, online, independent, grocery and chain restaurants, among others.
"It is truly a privilege to join the board and executive committee of this outstanding organization and to collaborate in shaping NRF's strategic objectives and overall advocacy agenda," said Saligram. "As technology and information continue to empower consumers and businesses alike in new ways, we as retailers have a tremendous opportunity to help our customers to make better choices and, in so doing, to build deeper brand loyalty. The NRF will remain core to cultivating the innovation and stewardship needed to position the industry to thrive."
