Naperville cops seek gas station robber

Police are searching for a man who robbed a Naperville gasoline station for the second time in less than two weeks.

Police said the man entered the Mobil station at 1304 Naperville/Plainfield Road shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money from the cash register. After the clerk complied, the man fled.

The clerk told police the suspect matched the description of the person who robbed the same station about 3 a.m. Dec. 25. During that robbery, the man displayed a handgun.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 230 to 250 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a slight mustache, and freckles on his nose and cheeks.

Naperville police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
