Palatine’s Sikh Religious Society vigil to remember Sandy Hook victims

The Sikh Religious Society in Palatine will hold an interfaith candlelight vigil to remember the honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Newtown, Conn.

The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the society’s Gurdwara Sahib, 1280 Winnetka St., Palatine. After prayers and the vigil, tea, snacks and langar, a community kitchen vegetarian meal, will be served.
