More questions on immigrant licenses
I agree with the Lake Bluff resident Nancy Thorner’s comments in the Fence Post of Dec. 13 about granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. A few points I might add:
When my children were of the age to drive, they had to maintain a B or better in all school subjects, and they had to pay for part of their insurance. Give to people everything and they appreciate nothing.
Already we pay for many of our illegal immigrants’ opportunities to live here. We pay through federal and state subsidies; SNAP, WIC, LINK, phone, medical, and school costs.
Might we soon have an added tax on our insurance to cover the money for the insurance coverage for the illegal immigrants?
Thank you politicians. No respect for you.
