Associate judge candidates

The Nineteenth Judicial Circuit nominating committee has selected four applicants for placement on the ballot for two associate judge vacancies. For the vacancy created by the retirement of Wallace B. Dunn, the candidates are: attorney Elizabeth M. Rochford of Lake Forest and attorney D. Christopher Lombardo of Vernon Hills. For the vacancy created by the election of Thomas M. Schippers to circuit judge, the candidates are: attorney Joseph V. Salvi of Hawthorn Woods and Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Janelle K. Christensen of Lindenhurst. The Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts will prepare ballots containing the finalists’ names and mail them to all Lake County circuit judges. Each circuit judge will cast a secret ballot and, after the ballots have been tabulated in Springfield, Chief Judge Fred Foreman will be notified of the results.
