Gurnee church seeks help for hurricane victims

Gurnee Community Church is seeking items to send two men and a box truck full of supplies for Hurricane Sandy victims in Haddonfield, N.J. The truck will be in the church parking lot, 4555 Old Grand Road, Gurnee, from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11 for donation drop off and loading. Items sought include: hats, gloves, coats, blankets; kids and baby clothing; new socks and underwear for kids and adults; winter boots; feminine products; contractor bags; work gloves; bleach; batteries; toilet paper; paper towels; toothbrushes, toothpaste; diapers; baby wipes; baby food; baby formula and canned goods.
