This week's installment of Poll Vault is a salute to our veterans.
Millions of brave men and women have served in our country's military. There are about 1.7 million World War II veterans still with us, although that number is rapidly shrinking.
Here are more figures from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs:
Korean War -- about 2.27 million living veterans.
Vietnam War -- about 7.39 million.
Gulf War -- about 2.2 million.
Are any members of your family among these veterans? Did they see combat? What did they experience in the service?
What about yourself? Tell us your military history.
