3 charged with armed robbery in Hanover Park
Three Hanover Park men, including two brothers, were charged on Saturday with felony counts of armed robbery and residential burglary for a holdup and home break-in that occurred in late October, police said.
Police say Arron Humphrey 24, and his brother Daniel Humphrey 17, of the 2000 block of Chaplin Court, Hanover Park, were accompanied by Jeremiah Wrath, 17, of the 5300 block of Garbo Lane, Hanover Park, when they robbed Al’s Pantry, 5561 County Farm Rd, at 4 a.m. Oct. 27.
During the robbery one of the offenders was armed with a blunt object and took an undetermined amount of cash from the store, according to police. All three fled the scene and the responding officers were unable to locate them.
Police say a day earlier, on Oct. 26, the Humphrey brothers forced entry into a vacant residence in the 5300 block of Garbo Lane and removed several construction tools. Wrath was not present for that burglary, according to police.
The DuPage County States Attorney’s Office approved felony charges against all three men, police said.
As of Sunday afternoon, both Humphrey brothers were being held in the DuPage County jail on $40,000 bond, and Wrath was being held on $30,000 bond.
