Antioch man sentenced to 30 years for a sexual assault at Walmart
An alleged Antioch gang member has been sentenced to 30 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a teenager at knife point last year.
Anthony Cerone, 36, pleaded guilty on June 27 to criminal sexual assault for the attack on a 16-year-old girl on July 26, 2011.
Police officials said Cerone forced the girl into her car at knife point about 9 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot at 350 W. Route 137. He ordered the victim to drive to a nearby hotel, where he sexually assaulted her, officials said.
After the assault, Cerone forced the victim to drive him to a church parking lot near the Walmart, then warned the girl to not tell anyone, police officials said.
The victim was able to provide police with a description of Cerone, including details of a unique tattoo on his chest and neck.
The victim was hospitalized briefly following the assault, but was not injured, according to police.
