Village of Lombard Recruiting Donors for Summer Community Blood Drive

“That's because there are two convenient locations for donors to consider,” pointed out Carol Bauer, Lombard's Blood Drive Coordinator and Executive Coordinator for the Village Manager.

The summer community blood drive, scheduled for July 11, will be held at two locations, Yorktown Center, near mall entrance #5 and Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson.

Hours at Yorktown will be during the morning and early afternoon, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Donors who prefer to donate at Yorktown will visit the Heartland Blood Center Mobile Coach, which will be located near Egg Harbor CafÃ©. Donors who prefer coming to Village Hall may do so from 1:30-7 p.m.

All donors will receive coupons for free ice cream from Oberweis and frozen custard from Culver's and a sandwich from Chik-fil-A plus be entered into a drawing to win a gift card, compliments of Yorktown Center.

All blood donors must present a photo ID to donate blood. To schedule an appointment at either location, sign-up online at www.heartlandbc.org or call Bauer at (630) 620-5712.
