Hear story of Grayslake Sears mansion

“Catalogs to Cuisine: the Sears Story,” a program about the Sears mansion that later became the Country Squire restaurant in Grayslake, will be told 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21 at the Grayslake Senior Center. Local historian Charlotte Renehan, president of the Grayslake Historical Society, will show a pictorial sequence of events in the life of the Sears family which led to the Country Squire. After the program, the audience will be encouraged to share their memories, too. Free, but first-time visitors to the senior center are asked to stop by the office and sign in.
