Grayslake schools hurt by improper use of stimulus money
After reading about Grayslake’s school problems re: money and air-conditioning, I couldn’t contain myself. It made me sick. Why that entire school board wasn’t removed I’ll never understand.
Some months ago, when our president was passing out money like falling leaves minus any accountability, Grayslake received close to one-half million dollars in “Stimulus” money. This money was to be used for enhancing the teacher’s education ... the rest for whatever “needs” the school required.
But what do you know? The money instead was doled out to the administrators and teachers. The union was happy with them receiving well-deserved thanks.
Can you believe that? Can you believe that this article “info” was “swept under the rug” with no outrage or further comments, never to be mentioned again? Where were the Herald’s readers and parents?
If I’m wrong, I apologize, but I don’t think so. I’m sure the Herald has a copy that can be reprinted. I believe that Grayslake schools took advantage of a “windfall” which our Democratic government dropped on them without any “back-draft” that the money was used for what it was intended.
Maybe the recipients of this money could return some and air-condition their schools.
