The New Zealand rock band Like a Storm will be giving a free acoustic performance and meet with fans at AMVETS Post 66, 700 McHenry Road, in Wheeling from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, April 15.

Donations to assist AMVETS will be accepted at the door.

Like A Storm consists of brothers Kent, Chris and Matt Brooks. They moved to Vancouver from New Zealand about six years ago to follow their dream of being a touring rock band in North America. They have recorded and released their first album, "The End of the Beginning," and have been finishing their second album due to be released later this year.

They are touring the U.S. and holding a few free fan appreciation shows, including in the Chicago area.
