Wisconsin man sentenced in heroin death

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — A man who supplied the heroin that killed a Plymouth woman is sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Joseph Lengling was earlier found guilty of first-degree reckless homicide in the death of 21-year-old Tabitha Thede last May.

Lengling told a Sheboygan County judge Wednesday that he’s committed to turning his life around and to being a better father to his 3-year-old son.

Lengling could have received up to 25 years in prison for the crime. The Sheboygan Press (http://shebpr.es/GYDn6U ) says he was also ordered to pay $17,000 in restitution to the victim’s family and was sentenced to eight years of extended supervision following his prison time.
