Total Access subscribers get preview of comedy

Members of the Daily Herald’s Subscriber Total Access program gathered in St. Charles Thursday for a preview of Fox Valley Repertory’s production of Ron Hutchinson’s comedy “Moonlight and Magnolias.”

A rollicking behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Gone With The Wind,” the play centers around the efforts of producer David O. Selznick, screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming to write a new script for the film, which was already in production.

Dennis Zacek, former Tony Award-winning artistic director of Chicago’s Victory Gardens Theater, directs the production.

Daily Herald theater critic Barbara Vitello joined Total Access subscribers for a post-show Q&A session.

The event was one of a series designed exclusively for the newspaper’s Subscriber Total Access members. Learn how to become a member at www.dailyherald.com/sta.
