Ela Historical Society celebrates Girl Scouts' 100th anniversary

The Ela Historical Society and Museum is exhibiting a Girl Scout display, including uniforms, badges, projects and memorabilia from the past, as part of the organization's 100th anniversary celebration.

The exhibit runs through the end of March at the society museum, 95 East Main St., Lake Zurich. Hours are the first Saturday and every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For details or to schedule group tours, call (847) 438-2086.

The society will also host a talk by Girl Scout speaker Suzy Marshalla at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15. Marshalla will discuss the organization's upcoming 100th anniversary in February 2012.
