Three charged with possession of heroin in Naperville

Two Naperville men and a Lemont man have been charged with possession of heroin after a traffic stop on Dec. 14, according to police.

One of the men concealed several packets of the drug by inserting them into his body during police processing, according to police. He was taken to Edward Hospital and stayed multiple days until the drugs could be retrieved, police said.

Naperville residents Russell F. Tucek, 26, and John C. Kacena, 19, and Lemont resident Emmanuel J. Ventouris, 20, were all charged with possession of less than 15 grams of a controlled substance.

Naperville Police Department’s Special Operations Group stopped the vehicle, which was suspected of trafficking heroin, at 5:58 p.m. Dec. 14, police said.

Police said the suspects and vehicle were brought to their attention by a “concerned citizen.”
