District 127 shares knowledge:

Faculty from Grayslake High School District 127 recently made presentations at a statewide conference. Pam Pleviak, Cynthia Karabush and Jason Janczak shared their knowledge at the Illinois Education and Technology Conference in Springfield. The presentation by Pleviak and Karabush, called “Holy Skype Batman,” highlighted ways to collaborate with experts beyond the classroom, while Janczak and Pleviak led a session entitled “iSub,” which was aimed at creating a digital substitute using video and podcasting to create engaging lessons when teachers need to be out of the classroom. Additionally, Janczak presented a session “Cell Phones on in Class? Absolutely!” Participants learned how to harness the power of wireless telephones in the classroom while engaging students and enhancing learning. All three faculty members regularly present and share instructional technology with their students and colleagues.
