Thieves have stolen hundreds of dollars worth of razors and blades from several Walgreens stores in the Northwest suburbs over the last few week, according to a Des Plaines police report.

Two shoplifters were caught on a security tape unlocking the case at Walgreens, 21 E. Rand Road, in Des Plaines, between 4:45 and 5 p.m. Oct. 24, reports said. They took razors and blades valued at $836.

The theft in Des Plaines came to light after an employee in an Arlington Heights Walgreens phoned and warned that two offenders had stolen razor blades and to be on the lookout.

An employee then went to the razor section to remove the razor blades, only to find most of them were already gone.
