Property tax forum

A property tax information meeting for residents of Avon and Warren townships is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 at the lower level auditorium (Building C) at the College of Lake County. Residents will have an opportunity to learn how the assessment process works, how to evaluate the assessed value of their home and receive information on how to file an appeal. Homestead Exemptions and the Senior Freeze also will be covered. Presenters include Martin Paulson, chief county assessment officer, and assessors from Avon and Warren townships.
